The newsletter is typically thought of as an "employee publication" and an "internal communication device," but you will be surprised to know that the most accepted and interesting newsletter publications are business community newsletters.

Newsletters are one of the most important tools for advertising, public relations, client relations, and goodwill.

The frequency of newsletters ranges from weekly to annually, with monthly or quarterly being the most common. There are three main types of this newsletter publication, each one with content and features that are tailored to their specific audiences which will help you to discover how smart marketers are converting website traffic into email subscribers!

Employee Newsletter

No matter the size or industry, a lot goes on within a business. A well-informed workforce is a secret weapon. An employee newsletter is a source of information about a business that is only shared with internal audiences to keep everyone updated on company information, boost morale, and increase productivity. And while external audiences look for updates on products and prices, your internal audiences need so much more. Employees that know the ins and outs of their company can successfully do their job, discover ways to improve the business and help deliver relevant information to external audiences. Employee newsletter content may include celebrations of birthdays, work anniversaries, and company successes, Information on new employees, Job openings, Team updates, Reminders, Answers to FAQs, etc.

The Company Newsletter

Many offices have a company newsletter, which they use to keep the key business stakeholders, investors, and employees abreast of new information and developments about the business. Done right they help business stakeholders come up with a sense of shared purpose, helping build morale. Company newsletters include periodic updates, news, promotions, and events communicated in print or electronic form. While newsletters are useful in getting attention from prospects, their primary importance is in maintaining ongoing connections with contacts and existing customers. Companies send newsletters weekly, monthly, or quarterly, depending on their goals and business activities. The range of content also includes news, profiles, and features that celebrate both the business and their employees, along with the larger industry they belong to, their partners, and other related topics.

The Consumer Newsletter

Ever bought a product, signed some forms, and suddenly began receiving newsletters in the mail? Chances are, you signed up for a consumer newsletter, a publication put out by companies intended specifically for their current customers.
This newsletter allows you to give more in-depth information to readers than an ad. This is especially important when you're trying to educate consumers about complex products or services. Once customers fully understand the many benefits of your products and services, they'll be more likely to buy.

When producing a consumer newsletter, you have to keep in mind that your readers are your customers. As such, you'll need to write about things that they will be interested in - if the newsletter is from a sporting goods store, for instance, you can include new sports-related product releases, celebrity athletes, local and international sporting events and consumer reports.

The Community Newsletter

A community newsletter helps to get the word out and get people involved in activities going on in your business community or neighbourhood all year long. In fact, strong communication can not only create smarter and safer communities but offer more rewarding living and business experiences as well.

Community newsletters have many overlapping qualities than the above three types. Since communities are a broad concept that can include many companies or stakeholders of a community. Generally, though, this term is used to refer to publications produced by business community groups or non-profit groups and directed towards existing business community members or potential members or their sponsors. Writing, publishing, and distributing your own community newsletter is a great way to earn extra money and have some fun at the same time along with getting huge support financially from local business advertisers.
